Big, ripe and drying, this Rusty Mutt Shiraz is generous and softens fabulously over a couple of days of tasting.
It opens with cool mint and dark chocolate but the former moves on the longer it sits. Blackberries along with some blackcurrants, this is a muscular, brutish style but its edges are softened and more rounded on the second day of tasting. An age-worthy wine, broad cocoa like tannins are draped across the palate on a persistent and elongated finish. Give it a decant and you're set.
