Not as pristine, glossy and pretty as the show-stopping 2022, this Serafino Reserve Grenache 2023 has the unenviable task of following on from its predecessor.
Blueberries and mulberries show strong form with some violets and dried purple flowers. Firmish through the mouth, grape bubblegum rears its head and delicate spices skirt the edges. It carries a fraction more weight which is obvious when tasted alongside the elegant 2022. Dusty tannins close things out on a respectable finish. In all, it's a very good wine in its own right and reclining with a glass in hand is not a difficult task.
Drink to five years.
