An excellent take on Fiano and a nod to the traditional methods of its Campanian home, this second release of the Oliver's Taranga Anfore Fiano lifts the bar even higher than the 2023 debut.
Time on lees has delivered extra depth and dimension, wrapping the fruit in a beautifully detailed texture that’s absolutely delicious. Ginger, barley and almonds set the tone before lemons and golden apples bring freshness and brightness. There’s a green tea-like tannin that adds interest, while apricot kernel and a hint of popcorn husk weave in savoury intrigue. A flicker of herbal tea nuance drifts through, giving the wine even more personality. Texture is the buzzword and deservedly so. That extra year of experience shows - it’s refined, layered and complete. I love it. An excellent take on Fiano.
