There are two Cabernets in the Denton stable and the Shed is its "entry" label, for one of a better word. This is an easy-going, fruit-forward wine without the bells and whistles.
It delivers the classic hallmarks of Cabernet, though a green leafy edge and touch of vegetal character keep it firmly rooted in varietal territory. Blackcurrants and blackberries bring solid fruit depth, joined by gentle spice and a dusting of dried herbs. Roasted capsicum appears late, adding savoury nuance as juicy tannins lend a subtle chew. I have no doubt there are a slew of folk who will appreciate its simple, straightforward delivery.
