An earthy and savoury Pinot Noir from the new Aptitude range of wines made by Greg Clack.
Twiggy and autumnal to begin, this wine walks the forest floor with notes of undergrowth and dried leaves leading the way. Strawberries and dried plums build the fruit profile that is framed by cloves, herbal tea and a whisper of cedar. A flash of orange peel adds lift and freshness amid the savoury hum. There’s a touch of aged salami meatiness that emerges late and warming spices linger as it glides to a comforting, earthy close. It's a wine that urges you to slide onto an old leather chair by the fire.
