Tellurian Bush Vine Grenache 2024

It's been a while since a Tellurian wine came across the Qwine tasting bench, so I was thrilled to see a brace arrive recently. These are smart wines and they are setting the pace with the exploration of Grenache in the Heathcote region.
Made with 15% whole bunches before seeing time in seasoned French oak, this Bush Vine Grenache delivers a stunning translucent appearance that captures your attention before the first sip. Aromas of raspberries, blueberries, red apples and a hint of rhubarb set a lively tone. The palate is beautifully medium-bodied, gliding about with ease as fine spices cling to the edges and flickers of earthiness peek through. There’s an effortless flow and shape here, building a gravitational pull that draws you closer with each sip. It’s not chasing complexity, yet it delivers charm and drinkability in equal measure. A casual, delicious wine that’s an outright winner.
