Pewsey Vale Riesling remains one of my most reliable recommendations. For around $20, it never fails to impress and is a wine that consistently overdelivers. Fact!
The vines were replanted in 1961, and the value you get here for the vine material is hard to beat. So wonderfully fragrant, white flowers and a hint of musk build intrigue from the get-go. A riot of fresh lemons, limes and lemon sorbet with a touch of green apple peel consumes the mouth. A crushed quartz minerality ripples through the core with superfine talc feels building presence and moreishness. Serve ice cold and the big smiles come for free. Winning!
