This Chardonnay is absolutely worth shouting about from the rooftops. Denton Estate has knocked it out of the park and then some. Make no mistake, go here.
There is a Chablis-like presence about this wine. It carries delicacy and finesse, yet there is an undercurrent of measured drive that keeps it focused. Lemons and white-fleshed stone fruit form the core, while pink grapefruit acidity brings a mouth-watering freshness. Hints of brioche and cashew add gentle richness, balanced by a fine thread of tension that pulls everything together and invites another sip. The close is bright with lemon tang and lingering grapefruit zest. A wine of poise, detail and quiet stature, it is well worth seeking out. Bravo!
