I reviewed this Parker Estate Kidman Shiraz 2023 12 months ago and the additional bottle age has certainly been its friend.
After reviewing the wine over a few days, I went back to check my notes, and I was interested to see the consistency of my thoughts, albeit it had softened from that initial inspection.
Firm on opening, it reclined and found its groove soon after. A flurry of exotic and pepper spices slowly emerges and frames the black fruits, dark chocolate brownie, woodsy spices and earthiness. It's a wine with real momentum and the acidity provides a solid backbone for ageing.
