Big, bold, broad and oaky summarise this Paulmara Estate Cabernet Shiraz. It's quite overbearing, actually, with plenty of clout. You definitely need a knife and fork to cut through it.
Black fruits, dark cherries, ripe strawberries partner cedar, coconut and vanilla that are quite overt. Rich plum pudding and Christmas cake add to the full-blooded and generous profile. It really eats away at the teeth with powdery, voluptuous tannins. Bottle age will soften it, but you'd need to hold for another 5+ years at least. I know of many who would love this big frame style, but it's too ripe and too muscular for me.
