I've often referred to this Bushvine Grenache from Yalumba as reliable as old boots. It just keeps fronting up year after year with a determined consistency.
Blueberries, raspberries, raspberry rope, rhubarb and ripe strawberries skip about joyously. A pan juice meatiness sits in the background with a fine mist of exotic spices sprayed throughout the palate. The finish is strangled by a touch of warmth, which is not the expected modus operandi, and that pegs it back a little as I find it distracting. Still, it's wonderfully medium-bodied and it will take a chill in warmer months. Good stuff.
