Brand new to the Parker Estate Terra Rossa range is this Cabernet Franc.
It sees seven months in oak and comes from the renowned Parker Estate Abbey Vineyard.
Tense and warm on opening, it is awash with blackberries and blackcurrants. Scents of violets elevate the interest factor but take some time to emerge. Firm to taste, it softens on day two and three of tasting. Warm spices and dried herbs frame the edges as do some warming spices. Drying and puckering, it draws all moisture from the mouth. I can see this being handled differently in the future to represent a more juicy style.
