Alkimi The Good Earth Grenache 2018

Admittedly I don't see a lot of Heathcote Grenache, but it can't be linked to the styles seen from the Barossa or McLaren Vale, that's for sure.

Quite warm and spicy to taste, there's a weighty presence to the mouthfeel. It feels as though it is dragging its heels. Blood orange, raspberry and stewed rhubarb all feature with an apricot kernal type after taste. Baking type spices rumble on longer than expected but that's where the warmth kicks in too. Perhaps chilling it down may be of benefit?

Drink to five years.
