Mt Difficulty Roaring Meg Chardonnay 2018

Roaring Meg is a stream that runs into the Kawarau River and feeds the hydro electric plant just outside Cromwell. Named after an 1860s barmaid with a fiery temper, I'm told she was the local prostitute of the day as well. There you go. This Chardonnay doesn't have a temper nor does it sell itself off.

Some notes from a quick fire tasting at the cellar door with Sales Manager Greg Wilkinson...

Custard apple, cream, yellow stonefruit. It's ripe too. I'd go for something a bit leaner given the choice for the money. A drink now style.
