Oozing a delectable presence, there is a surge of concentration through the mid-palate but it's not weighty nor overripe. Silky smooth, black plums and dark cherries add to its seductive feel. Raspberry coulis, chocolate brownie and a dash of sarsparilla present more layers of interest that peel off ever so gradually. An Old Gold Cherry Ripe tease rolls out on a long and persistent finish. The acid is still bright and wraps around the fruit like an older sibling ready to protect it for the ride. It's a smart wine done really well. Go here.
