Blackberries, Black Forest cake, stewed plums and licorice bullets are wrapped in a parcel of dried Mediterranean herbs. It calls for some protein courtesy of its hefty generosity. Puckering and powdery tannins slide in and draw all moisture from the mouth. There is a lot of this wine in the glass and it certainly gives the insides an embrace.
