The cellar door at Skimstone Wines provides a beautiful vista and laid-back experience. This Chardonnay is a fabulous wine worth tracking down for its terrific drive and balance.
The fruit presence works in tandem with almonds and faint cashews. Yellow stone fruit is the main driver though and reaches all corners of the mouth. A fine texture is evident and no doubt the 50% portion that saw barrel fermention has played its part here. Persistent with a pitter-patter of spice, big love.
