The Reserve is only made in exceptional years. Coming off vines planted in 1980, the fruit was whole bunch pressed and saw 50% new French oak. The first thing that strikes my attention is the light toast of the oak. Scents of vanilla bean build interest too. The mouth is flooded with white fleshed nectarines with a shimmer of ginger and cinnamon spices on its tail. Long and persistent, the quality of the fruit stands tall. Just beautiful.
Drink to eight years.
