Whole bunched pressed, the oak treatment hits another gear here too. Concentrated white fleshed nectarines, old school lemonade and figs make their presence known. Wafer biscuits, ribbons of cream and vanilla plus sheets of fine spices combine to build layers of interest. The faintest whiff of oyster shell rises up with time in the glass as do some butterscotch nuances. Still young, there is a tension which I find alluring and I can't help but wonder where this will go with some more bottle age. If you like your Chardonnays with a little extra oomph, this is worth noting in your blackbook.
