What a delightful Syrah this is from Sutton Grange. A welcoming embrace in a bottle, yes please!
An attractive savoury presence makes itself known with scents of dried purple flowers, peppered steak, smoked meats and black earth diffusing from the glass. Dark cherries and black berries add lift. In fact, there is a juicy blackberry pie thing going on which ups the moreish appeal. Wonderfully medium-bodied, Dutch cocoa and superfine spices caress a persistent finish that encourages you to return. It's a lovely drink.
