Dark cherries, sour cherries, wisps of raspberries and baked berry tart make all the right moves. Some tilled earth and sauteed mushrooms add savoury complexity with a touch of dark chocolate for good measure. Agile spices cling to a lengthy finish with an acid crunch that you'd expect from the variety. If anything, this release finishes a bit flat, only to be propped up by what comes before. Still, throw some pizza, pasta or even a burger and you wouldn't know.
