I've seen quite the evolution with Usher Tinkler's Chardonnay in recent years. He's nailed the Paper Wasp for quality and price point and now this Reserve is absolutely humming.
Not as rich as the 2022, this 2023 offers more of a delicate flow and lacy vibe, and I'm all here for it.
Struck match and flint set the scene before waves of deliciousness cascade with ease. Think white fleshed nectarines, peaches and cream, milk bottle lollie creaminess, popcorn, custard powder and creme brulee. Each time I go back, something new piques my interest and I don't want it to end. Cashews and ginger spices make a late play, but it's the seamless glide and contour that elevate this release and dial up its seductive allure. An elongated finish urges another sip. Actually, forget the sip and top up the glass appropriately. Come at me!
