Much like its Eden Valley Riesling sibling, this White Gate Wine Co Fiano steadily draws you closer layer by layer before you find yourself completely absorbed.
Barrel fermented, it sees seasoned oak for seven months on fine lees, building detail and textural nuances. With a golden straw appearance, spiced pears, canned apples and star anise light up the stage. It possesses a softly, softly approachability that gains terrific momentum. Tonic-like textural feels and a deft spice continue to peel off the interest with a chalky feel on close. A great take on Fiano, big love!
