Big love for the richness that walks hand in hand with an ubiquitous flow. This Mêlée is a mighty fine blend from the Barossa's Paulmara Estate.
Sangiovese, Shiraz, Malbec (75/20/5) come together delivering dark chocolate brownies, dense plums, bluberries and blackberries to set the scene. Some earthy tones and leather add savoury detail as Chinese five spice and baking spices curl around the mouth on close. A cracking blend that calls for fire pits and cool nights with a steak on the coals, I could have a couple of glasses with ease. Elevating its approachability is its meagre $25 asking price. A terrific wine that is well made.
