As with previous vintages, this Eden Valley Riesling is produced the John Vickery style with extra hang time, gentle handling, cool ferments and pressings used in the final blend.
From 1961 plantings, there is more concentration in this release compared to those I have seen previously. Bath powder and bath salt aromas join white field flowers to tempt with their pretty perfume. Lemons, green apple and a minerally drive take control with a lick of honey. It tenses up and lands on the mid-palate leaving a powdery texture to muse over. It's a Riesling with autumn appeal, which is a good thing.
