A muted nose and subdued through the mouth - not the norm with Ravens Croft Chardonnays, that's for sure.
It's a wine that goes through the paces without too much energy. I get the sense it wants to wear a suit but the top button is undone and tie pulled down. Day two of tasting showed a different side. A gentle vanilla cream and a lime juice twist come off the back of a pleasing textural presence with some white fleshed nectarine highlights. Dainty vanilla cream makes a late appearance. I suspect time in bottle will be its friend.
