This is the last release of a TarraWarra Nebbiolo until 2021 due to that pesky Phylloxera. The vineyard was replanted so we just have to be patient for now and just enjoy what we have here, An impressive wine and a great way to hit the pause button.
Red berry and red plum fruit with some charcuterie goodness. A whiff of camphor comes and goes but I do like the appearance of a cheeky Christmas cake like spice. Puffs of earth and sauteed mushroom add more layers of savoury delish. Fine spices drive long through the mouth. A nicely weighted wine all up with well handled acidity and fine tannins which are edging on powdery. Quality as always.
Drink to six years.
