Brad Hickey made his name on this variety and he keeps smashing the high hats. Get comfy with another superb Nero d'Avola courtesy of his famed amphora.
Soft and delicate, its silky feels glide through the mouth without obstruction. Orange peel, lavender, purple flowers plus a light rose water touch get the juices flowing. A gorgeous mouth perfume is captivating. Be sure to decant and time in the glass certainly helped encourage this wine to show its best. Blueberries and black cherries own the fruit profile. You get a sense the fruit is floating through the mouth before a cheeky pomegranate character sneaks up. Wild fermented and seeing six months in amphora, some savoury characters can be seen too. Super fine exotic spices double down as they build fabulous momentum through to a long and persistent finish. Glorious!
