Paisley Wines Boombox Shiraz 2018

Winemaker DJ Fitzgerald also doubles as DJ Deadly. Well, he did momentarily back in the day and this wine is a tribute to those good times of mixing beats. Now, he's just mixing quality wine. As previous reviews of the Riesling and Grenache would attest, these Paisley Wines are great drinking a represent solid value.

Made with a splash of Malbec, this is a riot of iced coffee, dark chocolate, cloves, cedar, blueberries and blackberries. There's some weight in its kick with a firm rub of spice pushed into every crevice of the mouth. The hang time of those baking type spices is impressive and seemingly never ending. Still quite firm to taste even after sitting in the glass for just over an hour, line it up with some barbecued meats and you'll be on the dance floor - just like the DJ intended.

Drink to six years.
