The bones of a smart Barossa Shiraz are here. Mind you, the oak is OTT and takes away from where this wine should be.
Like a clout from a piece of two by four, heavy cedar and coffee influences from the oak steer the attention away from the juicy blackberry and dark plum fruit. Some sweet vanilla influences sidle up late but the oak keeps banging hard on the door.
