An easy drinking entry level Grenache from a new range of wines released by Geoff Merrill.
There's a little of that boiled lolly confection early. Bright red fruits, some kicks of earth with a dusting of spice late. The bones of a good Grenache are there but the mid palate thins out quicker than expected. Quite drying and puckering with some red apple acidity clinging to a respectable finish. Crack this with your mid week casual meals while seeking distraction from reality television viewing.
