From the Great Southern region, this Flint Rock is aptly named to represent the minerally structure of this Chardonnay.
Quite an easy going type, initially on opening I picked up milky and yoghurt like scents. Lashings of apple and lemons followed. Ten months on lees and nine months in French oak have added complexity. More time in the glass sees honeyed tones, fleshy white stone fruit and whispers of preserved lemon. A line of minerality runs long to a generous finish. Give this some time in the glass and don't serve it too cold to see it at its best.
