Last year's Yangarra Estate Noir blew me out of the water. A repeat dose of excitement for the 2019 it seems.
The marriage of six varieties all handled separately prior to final blending. 50% berries, 14-18 days on skins, wild yeast fermented and older French oak for six months.
Blue and purple fruits bath in concert. There's an attractive perfume to the juicy and buoyant fruit. A rub of spice as fine tannins waltz through on close. Such a fabulous wine oozing slurp factor and a nod to some blending mastery.
The type of wine you want to have in the glass as the evenings gradually warm moving towards summer.
Drink to three years.
