This is a really good expression of Yarra Valley Pinot Noir from a challenging vintage. Well played Soumah.
There is a lot happening here. Think sour cherries, red berries, dusty earth, twiggy things and cloves - quite the introduction. Softly spiced, the red fruits gain momentum delivering a yin and yang fluidity with the savoury delights. Some oak protrudes but that's a minor detail given its youth. It will mesh nicely given you can see where this is headed. Blackcurrant leaf makes a late appearance with waves of fine exotic spices rolling through to a sustained and moreish finish capped off by lingering dark chocolate dust. Clever stuff indeed.
Drink to eight years.
