Always a reliable wine in the Hesketh portfolio, this Adelaide Hills Chardonnay ticks the boxes.
Easy-drinking, there is complexity without getting in too deep. Green apple, yellow peach and honey puffs consume you from the get-go. Ginger, cinnamon spices and wafer biscuits add interest with a long spicy finish that just hums. It's a little slippery on close before the phenolic grip cuts in. All up, the shape and flow get a big thumbs up from me.
Drink to five years.
