A great Cabernet that lives in the shadow of The Menzies. You don't miss out on too much here. It's another quality drop from Yalumba.
Cassis, black fruits, tar, cigar box (funny that), leather and licorice all play key roles. Purple flower aromas add prettiness. Tense and dense with good weight and firm tannins, there is a fair oak presence that protrudes a little, but that's okay. Patience (or a good decant) will see this evolve wonderfully. And that length! With a lingerie-esque tease, this is long and moreish and seemingly always promising more. Nicely done.
