Wild Game The Duke Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

My last look at this Wild Game The Duke Cabernet was from the 2012 vintage. At the time I suggested it could be the bargain of the year for $22 with eight years bottle age. This 2014 release has similar age but the price has skipped up. It's still a ripping deal no less.

Not many wines are released with significant bottle age well under $50. Bargain hunters ought to head on this way and check it out.

Silky with satin-like feels, blackberries and cassis show strong form. Expected tobacco makes an appearance and the customary Cabernet mint character is not far away either. Leather and dark chocolate ride long as dried herbs and the suggestion of Bay leaf sail through the mouth. Puffy, powdery cocoa tannins lead to a long and drying finish, It's quite the class act for the money and an even better wine than the 2012 release. Go here.
