Yalumba Homefulness Shiraz 2021

Everyone is a winner with this Homefullness Shiraz from Yalumba. The previous release Grenache hit the mark and was a great success and this is sure to follow the same trajectory.

In partnership with Forage Built, Yalumba has released its second wine in its Homefullness series, helping those experiencing homelessness with proceeds towards establishing Forage Built’s innovative, sustainable housing village. The Barossa family-owned winery has donated $60,000 to date to Forage Built through sales of its inaugural Homefullness Grenache and is committed to reaching the $90,000 target through the release of the Yalumba Homefullness Barossa Shiraz 2021.

Part proceeds from every bottle of Yalumba Homefullness Barossa Shiraz 2021 contribute towards the $90,000, the cost of building one Forage Built Calyx 16 - a 16 - square - metre transportable, eco-friendly “pod” for someone to call home.

Right in the slot of a solid Barossa Shiraz, generous dark berries and plums partner with baking spices, barbecued meats and some char adding interest. A warming and comforting spice coils around the mouth leaving some licorice and dark chocolate as the parting gift. Smooth, satisfying and damn easy drinking, this is nicely done and value for the money.

Drink to five years.
