This is a rock-solid Cabernet blend of Barossa and Eden Valley fruit. It's a smart wine that shows some muscle. If you like 'em on the larger side, this will be up your alley.
Drying and puckering, there is a heap of chocolatey and powdery things going on. I first tasted this a few months ago when I was in the Barossa. It was great then and I still hold the same opinion.
Dark fruit and dark berries are framed by licorice, dried herbs, mint and dark chocolate. A lightning zip of raspberry flashes past the eye. Over a couple of days of tasting it opened up nicely. The oak is prominent showing cedar characters but it settles with time. Soft spices roll along to a sustained finish with those powdery feels seemingly endless. Match it with something generous - steak or a slow cooked casserole and you are set. Big love!
