Blewitt Spring Shiraz from Jericho that sees twelve months in French oak.
This is an interesting piece. The dancefloor is on the mid-palate, which brings some warmth with it. There is a curious cedar thing going on with carob and even some pine needles. These calm over a couple of days, but that warmth is still prominent. Rum and raisin, ripe plum fruit and dark chocolate keep things afloat with a dusting of spice. At this competitive price point, I'd prefer others.
