Slow Wine Co Blanc de Noir 2021

Just outside Orange is the stunning town of Millthorpe. It's a must-do to be transported back to the days of the first settlers. The nostalgia and feel are incredible. Nestled in the town is the Slow Wine Co cellar door - it's well worth dropping in there too.

This Blanc de Noir spent four years on lees and I suspect the making was the same as its Blanc de Blancs sibling, as they both share some similar characteristics.

More bready and pastry feels are prominent here, though. Preserved lemons and a sherbet tang cut into the frame but the flavour profile limps along without any great zeal which surprised me given its time on lees. Of the two, I'd prefer the Blanc de Blancs.
