A very tidy Shiraz from Coonawarra, the Wild Goat gets its name from the workers that make their way through the vineyard after harvest - a herd of goats, no less.
Dark fruits set the scene with a mix of berries and plums that lay a solid platform. Choc mint brings a cool lift, followed by a gentle brush of rosemary sprig that adds a savoury touch. Dried thyme taps away in the background with licks of charred oak. It's a wine that moves with effortless flow, culminating with ripples of spice that linger bringing a delightful moreishness. Nicely done.
