This GSM from Tellurian Wines is ready to take down a pizza or burger.
It opens with dark cherries, baked blueberries and squishy mulberries, but there is a warmth that takes the gloss off the fruit. The label says the wine comes in at 14.5% alcohol, but it feels more than that. Some dark chocolate and a puff of earthiness add some savoury delight with soft exotic spices and barbecue rub spices washing through on a lengthy finish. Wash down a casual meal with this and the warmth will become secondary.
