Quite the elder statesman in the Oxford Landing range, all other wines are much younger, but I suppose someone needs to keep the kids in check.
A dependable Merlot that showcases all the varietal characteristics you'd expect. Plentiful plummy fruit and blackberries, it's earthy with some faint tobacco notes too. For 13 bucks, it offers more flavour and structure than the price suggests. A handy match for a barbecue in the park with a snag in bread in hand, but it will take down a Sunday roast with ease as well.
