To be honest, this Vinya Vella Grenache is one of those wines that I don't particularly want to review. I taste and recline in awe. I repeat. And then again and again.
It's joyous and lacy. It's sophisticated and contemporary. It's silky and incredibly moreish. But that gravitational pull keeps luring me back and possesses my soul. It's compelling.
Raspberries skip about and paint an incredible mural. They're juicy, they're squishy but they are also coated in dark chocolate. Some cherries enter the fray along with red currants. Ripples of earthiness shimmer before a sheet of fine spices blankets the mouth and urges you back for more. Those sandy soils beam delight and beauty - oh, Grenache shines best on the sand.
Sure, some Grenache wines fetch prices well beyond most, but may I suggest you charge for this and your appetite for glorious Grenache will be nourished.
