It's great to see a wine from Gundagai come across the Qwine tasting bench. Every time I see or hear the name Gundagai, somehow all is that is heard is John Williamson singing in the background.
A generous and robust wine, blackberry pastilles, blackcurrants and plum compote are the heroes. They fold into one another delivering a plentiful wine. Fruit bun spices and a little Dutch chocolate add a neat touch with drying, chewy, voluptuous tannins riding out to a lengthy finish. Drink this by the fire pit or on a cool afternoon sitting at the campground watching the new arrivals reverse their big rigs into their section. All up, it's good stuff.
