Penny's Hill Skeleton Key Shiraz 2021

With the ability to age pulsing through its veins coupled with a rich concentration of fruit in the mid-palate, this is a great McLaren Vale Shiraz from Penny's Hill.

From a single vineyard at Penny's Hill that sits 140m above, the vines were planted in 1991.

Given the variations in terroir, the fruit was harvested and different times when ripeness was achieved. All parcels were fermented separately before seeing fifteen months in barrel (26% new). The best barrels were selected and then blended.

Rich and dense, cedar and dark chocolate skip out with molten chocolate brownie on its tail. Dried herbs and smoked meats line the flanks not to be outdone by the main players. Warming baking spices ride long walking proudly with the dense fruit. Plenty of comfort can be found within.
