From the southern end of the Barossa comes this ripper. It sees seventeen months in large format French oak (33% new).
Softly spiced, it's persistent and moreish. Blueberries and red fruit glisten. Some raspberry rope and dark chocolate add delight and interest. Silky smooth, it's rich yet doesn't come across with clout. The integration of fruit and oak delivers a moreishness that is hard to ignore. Satisfaction in a glass, this exemplifies that you don't need a chart-topper to find happiness. That sustained finish wraps its arms around you and I'm very much in my happy place sipping away. A most impressive expression of Barossa Valley Shiraz.
