Adelaide Hills Chardonnay from Ox Hardy with a dollop of cream that lands smack bang in the middle of the palate.
Barrel fermented (35% new French oak) with full MLF and lees stirring, there is some density that brings Butternut Snap biscuits, crushed ginger and nougat along for the ride. White fleshed stonefruit, cut pear, a hint of green melon and some lemon peel add to the detail. A fabulous textural presence elevates this furthermore. Don't drink it too cold to see it at its best. It's very nicely done.
