From low-yielding vines in heavier soil, the density and weight are obvious when tasted beside its Hilltops No.2 stablemate. With a glossy appearance, this is a lovely medium-bodied Shiraz.
With plenty to peruse, think sarsparilla, dried petals, dark cherries and baked raspberries. Ripples of tilled earth seep through its pores with a mat of dusty tannins driving long. Dry and ready for roast night, this is a great wine.
